Shaping resilient futures
through co-design and
emerging technologies.

About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer in Design at The University of Sydney’s School of Architecture, Design and Planning, where my work sits across interaction design, human-computer interaction, community engagement, and smart urbanism. My research investigates how people, place, and technology intersect, with a focus on co-design, emerging technologies, and new ways of including non-human perspectives in collaborative processes.
I lead and contribute to research projects that examine how immersive technologies and AI-supported tools can improve community engagement, particularly in contexts of crisis resilience. This work supports more inclusive, adaptive, and creative approaches to engagement, both in Australia and internationally.
Beyond academia, I have over 15 years of experience as a consultant, working across local government and infrastructure sectors including transport, water, energy, and telecommunications. I specialise in developing and facilitating engagement programs that support meaningful collaboration and informed decision-making.
I am the co-chair of the annual Community Engagement Summit, which brings together practitioners and researchers from government, industry, and academia. I am also a founding member of the Urban Interfaces group at the University of Sydney, where we investigate how emerging technologies shape urban experiences.
