This project investigates how immersive experiences and AI tools can strengthen community engagement in the context of crisis events, including natural disasters, habitat loss, and environmental change. It investigates how these technologies can support more inclusive and multispecies-informed decision-making. Through the use of immersive experiences and AI tools, the project enables communities and policymakers to better understand ecological interdependencies, visualise long-term impacts, and identify adaptive strategies. These tools support interactive and solution-focused engagement that brings together diverse perspectives, including human and non-human concerns, around pressing environmental challenges. The project generates new knowledge on the use of immersive and AI-supported technologies in environmental resilience planning and helps establish best practices for inclusive and interactive policy development in Australia.
